This person needs to have injection molding along with automotive experience.
In addition, this position assists the management team with corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
Direct production activities based on established schedules and priorities in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
Coordinate production activities with scheduling, maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of equipment and material.
Review and analyze production to identify areas of non-conformity with regards to production specification, quality, scheduling and safety.
Assist with the development of operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
Revise production schedules and priorities as a result of machine failure or operating problems.
